Simon is a committed leadership and team development facilitator with a wealth of experience from a range of sectors and working environments.  Simon has a passion for learning and performance that he uses to engage people in constructive learning and development experiences.  His facilitation challenges thinking and equips people with the insight to make a difference to themselves and the teams they are part of.

Simon is fascinated by what drives people and teams to perform, and how leadership can be developed to promote the collaborative behaviours that allow the exceptional to be achieved.  Simon uses adventure as a core thread running through his experiential work.

Recently, Simon has worked with international financial, engineering and energy firms, and the British Army, working with emerging talent through to senior leadership groups in the UK and Europe.

Simon’s career history has seen him working in outdoor adventure, secondary education and performance lifestyle advisor with elite athletes.  As well as BSc Hons and PGCE, Simon is an Accredited Practitioner of the Institute for Outdoor Learning, ILM Performance Coaching trained and a UKCC Level 3 coach.  Alongside consulting and facilitating he coaches kayaking and canoeing at the Scottish National Outdoor Centre, Glenmore Lodge.

Living in the Cairngorms National Park gives Simon plenty of opportunities to get out adventuring with his family and he enjoys spending time on the river and in the mountains whether it’s by bike, ski or boat.  Simon loves to travel and is proud to be an active member of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team.
